How To Build Brand Trust
Do you ever find yourself struggling to show up for your audience? It’s not the easiest to put yourself or your business out there for the online world to see. It took me over a year of confidence and trial and error to see what works for my business and what doesn’t.
For that reason, I’m sharing five ways to show up and how to build brand trust that’ll have your audience coming back for more.
Consistency
Showing up consistently and serving your audience through strong + authentic branding will build trust. Through consistent brand messaging along with the style of your approach/voice will allow your audience to connect on a deeper level.
You can also show this through a kickass consistent customer experience aka nailing down a process that leaves them wanting more and telling all of their friends.
Here are a few ideas to start incorporating today.
Choosing a few days out of the week and posting to your platforms, but remember to also post at the same time each day.
Using your brand colors throughout your online marketing efforts (Instagram posts, stories, reels, website, etc.)
Credibility
It builds immediate trust with your audience. How can you showcase this? By sharing your client testimonials + wins from those who have purchased your services and/or products that help them solve the internal, external, and philosophical problems that they’re experiencing in their business or day-to-day life.
One of your best ways to build credibility is through referrals. About 83% of customers make their decision purchase through trust referrals aka their family, friends, and colleagues.
How can you do this on a weekly basis?
Share your work often - on social media, your website portfolio, and in your email marketing
Showcase your client wins and testimonials on your stories and add them to your highlights. Also, sprinkle them throughout your website so your audience can see how others experience.
If you’re a product-based business, try and get a video tutorial from past customers or show the benefits of using the product.
Personality
Showing up as your authentic self. People buy from people - period. Your audience is looking for that human connection and someone to confide in and fully trust to help them solve their problems.
There are multiple ways to show personality for your brand. Your style of writing, how you communicate with your audience/customers and share your passions outside of the services/products you’re offering.
Hot tip: share content about you and your personal life - not just your work/products. Show that pretty face and give them more than just a sales pitch every time because we all know how old that becomes.
Transparency
The most successful brands build trust by embracing transparency between their services/products with their audience. It helps by reducing the gap between your promise as a brand and your delivery.
You can practice transparency with:
how your process works
how your products/services can help them with x,y, and z
setting realistic expectations from the beginning when working 1:1 with a client
asking or answering all the questions of your customers/ clients
Storytelling
Brand storytelling is creating a compelling narrative surrounding your brand that connects with your target audience. This is where you’ll want to share your values, goals, and anything that relates to your ideal customer.
This includes creating an authentic look, style, and vibe with all of your marketing efforts and branding. It hits on a deeper level and your audience will appreciate it.
Your brand is much more than just your services and products. It’s about emotional connection. Once you make that connection and have the trust of your audience, those people will become advocates for your brand for years to come.
